Mike is an Area Rep for the northern and central part of Ohio. He takes pride in working with franchisees as he understands the challenges facing entrepreneurs. This is especially true for the exploding senior home care market for both medical and companion care.
With formal training in organizational development, technical processes, systems and economics, Mike is able to quickly identify the core issues that often prevent organizations, large or small, from operating at peak performance. His genuine and straight forward management style encourages people at all levels of the organization to work with him regardless of their "level" in the organization.
From 1983 to 1987 he served in the US Foreign Service assigned to the Philippines. His focus was infrastructure development for water systems, schools and housing development. The main focus of the initiative was to help improve the health environment as well as living conditions using local labor ensuring the projects would be maintained after completion.
From 1987-1997 he worked in operations roles for a large utility firm in Ohio. From 1997-2002 he worked for a small private utility and energy consulting firm in Chicago. The firm had fewer than 50 employees when he joined that grew to more than 2,500 employees followed by a public stock offering.
In 2003 he combined his previous 20 years of international and domestic operations experience and purchased a small natural gas pipeline company established in 1957. That company grew from servicing a few counties with fewer than 10 employees to covering three states and employing 56 personnel, some of which were 3rd generation.
Upon a successful exit in 2008, he moved to central Ohio were he currently lives with his wife and two children where he continues his entrepreneurial interests and methodically assists Always Best Care franchisees in their businesses.
